- 📘 Project Description:
we have built a fully automatic gate open and close system using an ultrasonic sensor, Arduino Uno, DC motor, and buzzer.
This system detects the presence of a person or vehicle in front of the gate and automatically opens and closes it — without any manual control. It’s a smart and simple automation idea ideal for home, office, or parking areas.
⚙️ How It Works:
The Ultrasonic Sensor (HC-SR04) continuously monitors the distance in front of the gate.
When any person or object comes within a set distance, the sensor sends a signal to the Arduino Uno.
The Arduino activates the buzzer, which turns ON and OFF to alert that the gate is about to open.
The DC motor then rotates to open the gate automatically.
After a short delay, the motor rotates in the opposite direction to close the gate automatically.
Once the object moves away, the system resets and gets ready for the next detection cycle.
This automation helps in hands-free gate control, enhancing security and convenience for residential and commercial applications.
